Over the next few weeks, I’ve been sharing ways we can cultivate an intentional heart and home through the holiday season, touching on matters of our hearts, but also sharing practical tips to combat common holiday stressors, and ways we can be blessed and be a blessing to those around us this holiday season.
None of these ideas are revolutionary, only intentional steps we can take toward a more joyful and peaceful holiday season. Not every family celebrates, plans, or organizes the same way, so as you read through this series, please take what you find to be useful for your own heart and your own unique family.
And I invite you to kindly share any additional tips or words of encouragement you may have on our topics in the comments!
Hospitality: Serving And Being Served
Hospitality and the holiday season often go hand in hand for most households. Whether you are the hostess or you are a guest, we can certainly be intentional about serving and being served.
How can we be a blessing to the host and hostess in the holiday season, even if (or perhaps, *especially* if) those hosting us are our parents and grandparents?
How can we show our guests a little extra welcome and thought during their visit?
I love the holiday season because it gives us an opportunity to serve, whether hostess or guest, a little more intentionally, in small ways, that show others just how much they mean to us.
When we are considerate of our time serving and being served, there’s more peace, more joy, and more heart in our homes.
