Hello! I’m glad you’re here.
Welcome to The Cooper House! I’m Amanda, wife to my high school sweetheart, homeschool mother to two, with a heart drawn toward Jesus, beauty, peaceful rhythms, and the simple joys of keeping a home.
I dedicate my days to nurturing both home and heart, holding fast to Christ as the firm foundation beneath us during the hum of ordinary days. It is certainly not I, but Christ who lives in me.
During early motherhood, I earned my degree in interior design, dreaming of having my own business one day. However, the Lord had far bigger and better plans prepared for my family and me. Over a decade later, I’m still in awe of how God is leading me, and how He sustains me with all that I need to serve Him well.
Previously known as Our Cooper Nest, this space was born out of a desire to remind other women that the work of home and family is not small or insignificant. It is holy work. In a world that calls motherhood and homemaking distractions from “greater things,” I hope to offer a gentler voice—a Gospel-rooted whisper that says: This is the greater thing. Steward it well. Home matters.
Now known as The Cooper House, you’ll continue to find the same truth woven throughout blog entries, curated home goods, and planning tools. The Cooper House is a quiet gathering place full of encouragement in joyful and faithful stewardship of purposeful rhythms for homemaking and home education.
As Colossians 3:23 reminds us, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” So whether I’m homeschooling at the kitchen table, folding baskets of laundry, planning lessons, tending to the hearts of my children, welcoming my husband home from a long day of work with a hot meal, or writing and creating here for you, my prayer is that it is all done for His glory alone.
Thank you for being here, friends!
