This past year we’ve embraced audiobooks into our homeschool which has been a really helpful way for us to keep up with our readings for Year 3.
All our audiobooks are free from LibriVox.

How We Implement Our Audiobooks
My Year 3 student follows along in her physical copy of the books, pauses the audio readings on her own time, and then narrates to me, telling me back what she knows.
Why We Chose To Implement Audiobooks
Audiobooks have given her more independence in her lesson time and a more natural way for her to take notice and choose when she is ready to offer a narration.
Following along with a physical book also allows her to see the words being read, continuing the progression of reading by sight and sound.
I should add that I’ve pre-read all her books ahead of time so I know if I were to get an obscure narration, but that hasn’t been the case. I believe this is due to the two years before of building the habit and art of telling her narrations. She knows what is expected of her and what is acceptable.
A dear follower shared a FB group with me called “Yoto Charlotte Mason” and I think it looks like an excellent resource for homeschool moms using Yoto Players!
We love and use our Yoto Players all day every day! If you want a small discount on your first Yoto Player, you can use my referral code here!
