There’s something quite satisfying about finishing yearly reading goals, only to begin anew in the coming year. For 2025, I decided to switch up my reading goals from what I’ve previously done in years past. Rather than determining the number of books and aiming to complete it by the end of the year, I chose to select a handful of specific book titles to read in the year, and not worry to aim for just a number.

There is no order or theme to my booklist, and is simply books, old and new, that I want to read. Over the years I have pulled from multiple booklists or followed someone else’s list exactly, but this year I was more motivated to get out of my reading slump by setting other lists aside and curating my own plans.
I used my Mother Culture Book List pages to write down my list and I have it tucked away in my reading basket to refer back to throughout my year. I am very much a “check box” type personality when completing tasks so I plan to use this list as so.

You can find all the book titles I’ll be reading in this Amazon List if you’re looking to see all the titles/covers in one place.

This list doesn’t include some of the book titles I’ll be pre-reading to prepare for Ambleside Online Year 5. You can find the books for AO Year 5 here.
I’m sure I’ll add a few more book titles to my 2025 reading list, but for now, this list is a great start to my new year. My 2025 booklist doesn’t include all the resources for my personal Bible study time, or the Bible study resources I’ll be using with my local church.
I received a handful of great resources for my Bible reading time over Christmas, including Daily Doctrine by Kevin DeYoung, Everyday Gospel by Paul David Tripp, and a couple of 30 day Prayer Journals that I am eager to dive into.

This booklist is both comforting and stretching for me as a reader, and I look forward to sharing more glimpses of my mother culture time on Instagram (typically in stories). I hope my list has inspired you in someway to curate your own list, or that you’ve come away with a few more titles to add to your own 2025 TBR list.

Cheers to a new year full of rich and delightful literary adventures in 2025!
